Year after year, Georgia Tech is consistently the only technological university ranked in U.S. News & World Report's listing of America's top ten public universities. In addition, Georgia Tech's College of Engineering is consistently ranked in the nation's top five by U.S. News. In terms of producing African American engineering graduates, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education ranks Georgia Tech #1 at the doctoral level and #2 at the bachelor's level for the 2010 academic year. These impressive national rankings reflect the academic prestige long associated with the Georgia Tech curriculum.
The 2011-2012 Georgia Tech Catalog provides up-to-date information on the current academic programs available to students. Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered on the Atlanta campus in the Colleges of Architecture, Engineering, Sciences, Computing, Management, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts as well as preparatory programs for law, dental, medical, and veterinary schools.
Future of Georgia Tech Savannah
Georgia Tech has completed a comprehensive review of its coastal campus and the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program based on the Savannah campus. Recommendations have been approved that will allow Georgia Tech to continue to have a strong presence in Southeast Georgia by creating a new academic and operational model for the campus while phasing out current degree programs. For more information on this initiative, please visit Task Force Update.
The Georgia Tech Savannah campus will operate in a “business-as-usual mode” during the summer and fall semesters of 2011. Academic advisors will work individually with Georgia Tech students in Savannah to provide the support necessary to aid them in completing their degree programs.
