Safety Tips
- In an emergency call 911 or locate a blue phone on campus.
- Always lock your door, even if you intend to return shortly or are just going down the hall.
- Do not allow strangers to enter the premises.
- On-campus, call 912-966-7922 to report any suspicious activity (8 am - 5 pm M-F).
- Avoid working or studying alone in a building at night, have a friend available for emergencies.
- Avoid using stairs in remote sections of a building and walk with a friend at night.
- Never leave valuables unattended.
- Never prop doors open, even for a short time, especially fire doors.
- Advise police of any hazards or security problems.
- Park in a well-lit area near other vehicles.
- Keep packages and valuables out of sight in your vehicle either under a seat, in a glove box, or in the trunk.
- When leaving your vehicle, be certain your windows are rolled completely up and your doors are locked.
