The primary goal of academic advising at Georgia Tech Savannah (GTS) is to ensure that undergraduate students have the information, resources and support they need to succeed in their academic careers.
Students meet with their assigned academic advisor prior to New Student Orientation and at regular intervals throughout their college career. While degree requirements are posted in the official school catalog it is essential for students to check in with their advisor at least once a year. Establishing and maintaining regular and frequent contact with the advisor will allow students to keep track of their progress while exposing them to additional opportunities that further enhance a student’s ability to reach their goals.
