In 1999, Georgia Tech began offering local degree programs to engineering students in southeast Georgia, and in 2003 it opened its current regional campus in Savannah.

IT Services

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at Georgia Tech Savannah provides information technology leadership and support to the campus, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. Our department serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.

Connect to Wireless Network

The Georgia Tech LAWN (Local Area Walkup & Wireless Network) is designed for students, faculty, staff, and institute guests who are mobile network users. The LAWN gives mobile users access to the Internet and most campus computing resources. LAWN access is available from nearly every building on campus including offices, labs, classrooms, student residence hall, and some outdoor spaces. Some campus locations, the library and many classrooms for example, also provide wired (10/100 ethernet) LAWN ports.

The Office of Information Technology has made an agreements with various software distributors in order to supply the campus with their software needs.

Equipment Loan Agreement

Employees can request to utilize and carry equipment to off-site locations upon approval from their department head.
