Savannah Engineering Academy Teacher Recommendation Form 2012

Dear Teachers,

Each applicant to the Savannah Engineering Academy is asked to secure one teacher recommendation from a math, science, or engineering teacher.  The Savannah Engineering Academy is a five-day summer enrichment program organized by local engineers and hosted by Georgia Tech Savannah. Specific activities include a tour of Gulfstream, hands-on design challenges, and working with potentially harmful materials (soldering irons, contaminated water, etc.). Our goal is to serve students who will benefit from engineering related experiences, with an eye toward students who are responisble and who adapt easily to new surroundings. Your comments are very useful, so please write fully and candidly. For additional information about the Savannah Engineering Academy, please visit our main webpage at www.savannahengineeringacademy.org. Please submit your recommendation no later than Friday, May 11, 2012.

The Savannah Engineering Academy typically hosts two teacher volunteers each year.  If you would be interested in volunteering, please e-mail Julie Sonnenberg-Klein at Georgia Tech Savannah at jsk@gatech.edu.

Thank you for your time,
The Savannah Engineering Academy Committee and Georgia Tech Savannah
