Did You Know?

In 2010, Georgia Tech Savannah first sponsored a float in Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade, which attracts more than 400,000 spectators each year. The float quickly became a campus tradition.

Applied Research Team

The Applied Research Implementation Team will identify a set of research partnerships based on Georgia Tech needs and specialties in order to leverage resources and relationships in the Savannah market.

Areas of focus:

  • Exploration of Ideas: Explore concepts/ideas for each proposed initiative and consider competition and market price points.
  • Process / Policy Constraints: Identify what current processes and policies inhibit the concepts from moving forward or enable them to clearly determine specific issues to enable the concepts to flourish.
  • Business Models and Metrics: Final concepts need to lead to self-sufficiency and must have the correct incentives for all stakeholders in the market, as well as metrics that will allow tracking to show progress.
